Everyone has their own aspirations, fears, desires, and worldviews built from their individual struggles. In real life, we don’t exist just to further someone else’s story. I don’t want anyone to be a mere plot device. It’s important to me, as I write my stories, that my characters feel alive. It can also help to bring lackluster characters to life.
